As I said yesterday, I would publish the homemade chicken bread recipe after providing instructions for making the filling of chicken So here it is. The delicious and easy chicken bread roll recipe. I just love how it appears, the stuffed and braided chicken bread. Even though I’ve made the bread roll from chicken for a while, there is always a feeling of fulfillment when you look at it’s golden brown braided stuffed bread emerge perfectly.
This Chicken Bread Roll is such an amazing recipe that , each when I prepare it it’s never wrong. I found this recipe on Fauzia’s Kitchen the first time. Since then, I’ve followed the recipe with amazing results. I make this recipe for the bread and add different fillings such as chicken, keema, or simple vegetables. I’m hoping to share all of the recipes in the near time, In sha Allah.
It can be served with any curry you like to make the perfect dinner.
Homemade Chicken Bread Roll Recipe
Braided Homemade Chicken Bread Roll recipe is a delectable bread roll that is made by hand right at home.
3 cups of chicken filling
4 cups of plain/all-purpose flour
1 2 tbsp instant yeast
2 1 tbsp milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons oil
One egg and one egg for glazing
1 teaspoon sugar
Use lukewarm water if needed
Add half one cup of drinking water into the yeast along with sugar, and allow it to be activated over 10 mins.
Once the yeast has begun to rise then add the all-purpose dough, flour egg, salt, and oil. Add warm water as needed to form a smooth dough. Cover the dough with an damp cloth for 1 hour. The dough should have risen after one hour.
Pre-heat the oven until 200 C.
Put 1 cup chicken filling into the middle.
Make slits either sides of filling, as illustrated in the above picture.
Fold one slit in across the other one until the very end.
Apply egg wash to get a golden hue.
The oven bakes for about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with butter, if you want.
Servings : 2 medium loafs
This is among my most loved breads that is braided and filled with a variety of ingredients. Here are step by guideline with pictures of how to prepare the recipe.
Ingredients for Dough
4 cups all-purpose/plain flour
1 tablespoon. instant yeast
2 tablespoons. Powdered Milk (optional)
1 teaspoon. salt
4 Tbsp. oil
1 egg (plus 1 for glazing)
1 teaspoon. sugar castor
1/4 teaspoon baking powder (to eliminate the yeasty smell)
Ingredients for Chicken Filling
1 1/2- 2 cups chicken that has been boiled and then shredded (250-300 grams if cooked)
One medium, or two small onions chopped in fine
1 teaspoon. salt
1 teaspoon. black pepper
2 tablespoons. coriander leaves
Four chopped chillies with green
1 teaspoon. garam masala powder
2 TBSP. flour
2 tablespoons. butter
1 cup milk
Sesame seeds, if needed
For the Filling
2 tablespoons of oil. butter, fry onion until soft. Add 2 tablespoons. flour, 1 teaspoon. salt, 1 teaspoon. black pepper 1 teaspoon. garam masala.
Pour in to the sauce, simmer until thick. Add the chicken shredded, chopped green chillies and coriander leaves. take it off and let cool completely.

For the Dough
In a bowl, mix 4 cups of flour 1 teaspoon. salt, 1 teaspoon. Castor sugar. 2 tablespoons. milk powder. 1 tablespoon. yeast, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 4 tablespoons. oil, and 1 egg. Cut the dough in three or two according to how large you’d like your loaves to be. Continue to look over the next steps to determine how your bread will be formed.
STEP 1: Roll the dough into an oval. Apply butter that has been softened over it.
Even though the recipe doesn’t require it, I typically add the butter in this recipe to make it a delicious.
Step 2: Place your filling into the middle of the rectangle. Make cut-outs on the two longer sides.
Step 3: Begin to pull the end of the topmost slits across each other, alternatingly
STEP 4: Keep going, remember to alternate, like a crisscross fashion. From left right to right…right and left.
Step 5 The way it will appear as you continue to lower the bread by braiding or crossing of the sides.
Step 6: Once you’re at the top leaving a tail at the top to give it a nice appearance. You can tuck everything well if you wish but I like to leave an end at the end of my loaf.
STEP 7: Grease your tray and then place your breads. The recipe calls for making two loaves, but I would prefer splitting the bread into three, and then making three loaves of a similar size.
Step 8: Spread egg-wash and sprinkle sesame seeds…then bake in a preheated oven of 200 C for approximately 30 minutes, or till the cake is done.
(Egg-wash is the process of beating an egg with a tablespoon. of water, then rub it on your bread)
This is a different take on chicken bread. You can bake the bread in baby sizes too…this is the way they look prior to baking.
FINAL RESULT: Voila! Enjoy your delicious chicken bread! !
After taking the bread off the oven, spread butter evenly on the bread. Let it sit covered in a cloth for about 2 minutes to completely soften the bread.
I make huge portions of chicken bread in one start and then cover them with foil or cling film and place them into the form of cellophane bag. Tie the bag tightly and freeze. They’ll last for up to four weeks! If you require one, just defrost it for a few hours in the refrigerator or set it at the counter for a while until frozen, then remove the wrapper and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds until it gets warm, and then sprinkle a amount of water with your fingers on it, and then place on the stove for around five minutes to refresh it up. It will be as good as fresh!
